I just saw this article from Philadelphia Magazine’s Property blog. It features a real estate listing for the late Countess of Bessborough.
The home of the late Lady Bessborough, countess of the same and wife to the late Earl of Bessborough, Viscount Duncannon. Before marrying into the aristocracy proper, the Radnor native was already part of Philadelphia society, being related to both the Drexel and Biddle families.
Why am I sharing it with you, today? Well, there are two reasons:
1. It’s an absolutely gorgeous luxury condo, and I know you’ll enjoy seeing the interiors of this exclusive home in The Barclay of center city Philadelphia.
2. I had the great honor of meeting Lady Bessborough and actually had the privilege of dining with her on multiple occasions. She was a delightful person, and certainly never showed all of her 98 years! I really enjoyed reading this article and remembering the times I spent in her company.
