2016 Bucks County Designer House Bedroom: Furniture by Stenella Antiques

Welcome back! Today I want to share about one of my amazing sponsors for my 2016 Bucks County Designer House Bedroom. This time I want to introduce you to Stenella Antiques, who is very generously supplying ALL of the furniture for my bedroom space in this year’s designer house.

Stenella Antiques is one of the East Coast’s leading online sellers of distinctive high quality pre-owned and new furniture. In addition to a great selection of beautiful, timeless furniture, they offer a superior buying experience, and as a result have become one of the most trusted names in the furniture business, selling both brand new and high quality, previously owned pieces.  You might want to check out their website here:  http://www.stenellaantiques.com/

Stenella Antiques is known for their high end, previously owned furniture (like Baker, Henkel Harris, Henredon, Kindel and many others). But they also sell new traditional furniture from many quality manufacturers like Drexel Heritage, Maitland Smith, La Barge, Jansen, Henkel Harris, and Eldred Wheeler. Stenella Antiques is more than antiques and they ship their beautiful pieces all over the world!

Stenella antiques is very selective in the items they sell. Although individual tastes vary, every piece they offer is something you would be proud to display in your home, office or business. Many items are offered at a fraction of their original retail price; others are discontinued, hard to find pieces.

Once I finalized my floor plan, I needed to determine which furniture pieces I would use in my room.   Here’s the floor plan I ended up with:

After playing around I ended up with this floor plan. You can see that I added night stands on either side of the bed, and I thought a pair of small rugs would make it nice to step out of bed in the morning. I also place a pair of chairs and small table at the foot of the bed, placed on a pretty area rug. The dresser is here too, placed between the windows opposite the bed. Finally, I put a small desk or vanity in the small L-shaped nook. It should provide a nice focal point across the room and would be very useful as well.

I went browsing on the Stenella Antiques website and, immediately, I fell in love with this gorgeous bed!

I also need a pair of night stands and saw these on the Stenella Antiques website, which has so many awesome pieces of traditional high-end furniture.

I need a small desk or vanity for the small nook on the focal wall.  I saw this pretty one with a Queen Anne leg and thought it would fit the bill.

To make this little desk into an obvious vanity, I need an awesome mirror.  Check out this one, which I’m definitely planning to use!

I’m also thinking about the chairs I’ll use at the foot of the bed.  Perhaps something like these tufted beauties…

I’ll be selecting many more items from Stenella Antiques to use in my designer house bedroom, like a long dresser, and perhaps even a bookshelf.  But I’ll wait and make those decisions closer to the install date.  Now it’s time to start making fabric selections, so I can finalize my paint colors.  Let’s plan to talk about that next time!
